What is BalanceLift?
BalanceLift is an independent financial education website. We publish plain-language guides and free calculators about credit confidence, debt management, borrowing basics and financial fresh starts.
Does BalanceLift lend money or offer financial products?
No. BalanceLift does not lend, arrange or broker loans, negotiate balances on anyone’s behalf, or offer services to change credit reports. We also don’t recommend or rank specific companies.
Is BalanceLift financial advice?
No. Our content is general education. For guidance about your own situation, consider a nonprofit credit counselor or a licensed financial professional.
How do you make money?
BalanceLift does not charge readers and does not receive referral fees from lenders or card issuers. Our guides are written to explain, not to sell.
Where does your information come from?
Each guide links to official and nonprofit sources, such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission and AnnualCreditReport.com, so you can verify details.
Tools
Do the calculators store what I type?
No. All three calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is saved or sent to us.
How accurate are the results?
They are estimates for learning. Real accounts may compound daily, change rates or add fees. Check the terms on your own statements and agreements.
Updates & text messages
Do I need to sign up to use the site?
No. Every guide and tool is free to use without signing up, and text message consent is never required.
What texts will I receive?
If you check the informational/account box, you’ll receive service texts about your subscription, such as sign-up confirmations, preference changes and updates on guides you’ve requested. If you check the marketing box, you’ll also receive featured guides, news about BalanceLift’s educational tools and seasonal financial education reminders. You can choose either, both or neither.
How often will I get texts?
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How do I stop texts?
Reply STOP to any BalanceLift text at any time. You’ll get one confirmation message and no further texts. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
Will you share my phone number?
No. We never sell or share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
