This Privacy Policy explains how Buddy Street Marketing LLC d/b/a BalanceLift (“BalanceLift,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit balancelift.org (the “Site”), use our free tools, or sign up for email or text message updates.

Information we collect

• Information you give us: first and last name, email address and, if you choose text messages, your mobile phone number, when you sign up for updates or contact us; and the content of messages you send us.
• Consent records: when you opt in to text messages, we record which consent boxes you checked, the date and time, the consent language version, the page URL, your browser’s user agent and referrer, and the sign-up source.
• Automatically collected information: basic technical data such as browser type, device type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider to operate and secure the Site.
• Calculator inputs: our tools run entirely in your browser. We do not receive or store numbers you enter into them.

How we use information

• To send the email and text updates you requested, and to confirm or change your preferences.
• To respond to your questions and requests.
• To keep records of consent and opt-outs, as required for messaging compliance.
• To operate, secure and improve the Site.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to match you with lenders or other financial companies.

Text messaging and mobile information

If you opt in to BalanceLift Updates, we use your mobile number only to send the messages you agreed to receive. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Site and deliver messages (such as our hosting, form-processing and SMS delivery providers), only as needed to provide those services and under obligations to protect it. This does not include sharing SMS opt-in data or consent for anyone else’s marketing.

When we may disclose information

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of BalanceLift, our users or others. If BalanceLift is involved in a merger or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Cookies

The Site does not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical cookies or logs for security and performance.

Data retention and security

We keep sign-up and consent records for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward to document consent and opt-outs. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from email using the link in any email, and from texts by replying STOP.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by emailing [email protected].
• Depending on your state of residence (for example, California), you may have additional rights to know, delete or correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We will respond to verifiable requests as required by law.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
